A New completely online program empowers practitioners, administrators and healthcare leaders to create a patient-centric and holistic healthcare ecosystem
The fast-paced and flexible master’s program aids healthcare leaders with the knowledge to include integrative care approaches into patients’ care plans and create a more holistic, sustainable healthcare system. The program is NWHSU’s second fully online degree providing flexibility for students to balance their careers while growing professionally and earning a master’s degree. Students can complete the program within one to two years.
“Through the Master of Health Science in Integrative Care program, we are preparing changemakers in the healthcare industry. We’re excited to offer a program designed to expand a practitioner’s knowledge around person-centered care in order for patients to live their healthiest, best life,” said Michele Renee, DC, MAc, Director of Integrative Care at NWHSU. “Through our program, professionals will learn to advance healthcare by applying a holistic framework to care.”
NWHSU’s program is creating a future for healthcare that works. Diversity of thought is key to this program’s learning environment and success, and it is designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of learners. Specifically, complementary and integrative healthcare professionals, mainstream medical providers, personal trainers, clinic owners and managers, hospital administrators, community health workers, and those with a bachelor’s in a healthcare-related field looking to pursue a master’s degree will benefit from this program. Graduates will be prepared to support patients through a person-centered approach designed to address all aspects of health and to change systems to better serve patients.
With three specialization tracks, students can tailor their offerings to emphasize trauma-informed integrative care, integrative health coaching and integrative healthcare administration to meet their patients’ needs.
“At Northwestern Health Sciences University, we educate the next generation of healthcare professionals to be collaborative leaders creating a healthier future,” says Dr. Deb Bushway, President and CEO of NWHSU. “The Master of Health Science in Integrative Care program prepares healthcare leaders across professions to contribute to optimal patient-centered, whole-person care and equitable community outcomes.”
Through the Master of Health Science in Integrative Care program, practitioners, administrators, and other healthcare professionals can transform healthcare by placing the patient at the center of care and being a leader in their practice. As its second fully online degree program, NWHSU continues to innovate customizable, flexible programs to fit the changing needs of students.
